Released in November 1977, this is one of the best-selling albums of all time and a cultural touchstone that epitomizes the disco era. While dominated by the Bee Gees, the soundtrack expertly curated a broader picture of the 1970s club scene.
Additional Features: Pictured is Side 2 of the first record in this double-LP set, featuring the high-energy funk of "Salsation" by David Shire and the iconic club anthem "Disco Inferno" by The Trammps. This copy is an original UK pressing on the famous RSO label, recognizable by its distinctive red "cow" logo (a nod to label founder Robert Stigwood's name). The album was compiled and supervised by Bill Oakes.
Condition
Vinyl: Graded EX (Excellent). The tan RSO label is exceptionally well-preserved; the red cow logo remains vibrant with no fading, and the black text is crisp and fully legible. There is virtually no spindle wear or "spidering" around the center hole, indicating it was handled with high precision and played on a quality turntable. The vinyl surface retains a strong original luster.
Cover: Pictured within its protective poly-sleeve, which likely carries sticker 3/81. The vinyl itself shows almost no surface dust, suggesting the previous owner kept it in a high-quality anti-static inner sleeve.
