Released in October 1972, this was the final album of the band's legendary "Classic Seven" era before a five-year hiatus. The title signifies their seventh album with the Hayward/Lodge lineup. Unlike their earlier conceptual pieces, this was a collection of individual songs, including the massive hits "Isn't Life Strange" and "I'm Just a Singer (In a Rock and Roll Band)".

It reached No. 1 in the U.S. and remains a high-water mark for 70s art-rock. Original Retail: In 1972, a new UK gatefold LP like this cost approximately £2.25.

Condition

Vinyl: Graded VG+ to EX. The surface shows a high original gloss on the Threshold "Purple/White" labels. The center hole shows minimal "spindle trails," suggesting it was played with care.

Cover: Not pictured in detail, but original UK gatefolds of this era typically feature the Phil Travers surrealist art. This copy appears well-protected in a poly-sleeve.
