Released in late 1973, this was Chapin's third studio album and the one that solidified his reputation as a "storyteller" songwriter. It features his top-40 hit "W·O·L·D," a poignant look at the life of an aging itinerant disc jockey.

The album is a prime example of early 70s folk-pop, focusing on detailed character studies and narrative arcs. While your copy has a 1976 sticker, the album itself was a cornerstone of the 1973 folk scene. Issue Price: In the early 70s, a new Elektra LP in the UK typically retailed for approximately £2.25 to £2.50.
