Originally not intended as a single from the Super Trouper album, this track was released on 12-inch in 1981 after a remix became a massive club hit. It made history as the then-highest selling 12-inch single in UK chart history, peaking at #7.
Additional Features: This is an original UK first pressing on the blue Epic label (Catalog: EPC A 13 1456). The B-side features the track "On And On And On." The song is famous for its "electro-disco" sound and the unique "hymn-like" vocal effects on the chorus, achieved by running vocals through a harmonizer and vocoder to simulate a church congregation.
Condition
Vinyl: Graded EX (Excellent). The blue Epic label is in beautiful condition with vibrant yellow script and sharp black text. There are no significant spindle trails, suggesting it was handled carefully by a collector. The vinyl surface is clean with a deep original luster.
Cover: Pictured with sticker 3/82. The original picture sleeve is noted for the "splendid sports casual" outfits worn by the band members. While the sleeve shows very minor shelf wear at the corners, it remains stiff and the colors are un-faded.
