This is the fifth studio album by the English rock band 10cc, released in 1977. It marks a major turning point as the first album recorded after the departure of founding members Kevin Godley and Lol Creme. Remaining members Eric Stewart and Graham Gouldman produced a more streamlined and positive pop-rock sound to prove the band could thrive as a duo. The album features the major hits "The Things We Do for Love" and "Good Morning Judge," and closes with the 11-minute epic "Feel the Benefit".

Condition:

  • Sleeve: Very Good Plus (VG+). Original UK gatefold sleeves are known for their high-quality print, though they may show minor edgewear or light surface scuffs after 40+ years.

  • Media: Excellent (EX). Original Mercury pressings are highly regarded by audiophiles for their extraordinary dynamic range, "tubey" analog warmth, and punchy bass, often used as "demo discs" to test high-end sound systems.

Format: 12" Vinyl, LP, Album, Gatefold.

Publication: Mercury Records.

Issue Date: May 14, 1977 (Original UK release).

Cover Features: The iconic cover was designed by the legendary studio Hipgnosis. It features an elaborate photograph of a deep-sea diver carrying a woman, a theme inspired by the "bends" (decompression sickness) rather than just a road sign. The title itself was taken from a road sign Gouldman saw daily while driving on the A24 between Leatherhead and Dorking.

Country: United Kingdom (UK).
